English born of Ghanaian decent, Callum Hudson Odoi is still adamant as to which country he is going to play for at the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is set to commence in few days.
The 21 year old is still not certain as to whether he will maintain his English nationality or will switch to play for Ghana subsequently.
The lanky winger has previously featured for the English youth national teams including the first team and has made three appearances so far for the Three Lions.
However, speculations also has it that, the Chelsea loanee is also contemplating on naturalising for Ghana- a decision which arguably will earn him an automatic spot in the Black Stars squad for the Mundial.
In an interview with the BBC, Odoi, 21, when quizzed about which country he will be playing for, he openly disclosed he will like to keep it a secret for now and is now focused on getting himself in the best shape and form. He said;
"Nothing I would say at the moment on camera, I would love to tell you, but I couldn't say."
"At the moment it's more just focusing on the best I can do here. You never know what will happen in the future."
"Obviously the Ghana-England situation has been on my mind for a while. But I think right now it was more of the focus of coming here, really getting myself back into shape, playing a lot of games and just feeling like myself. Right now my mind is just open."
Callum Hudson Odoi joined Bundesliga outfit Bayern Leverkusen prior to the commencement of the season, on loan from Chelsea FC.
