The Ghanaian winger has reportedly been shown the exit door at the German lower-tier side following gross misconduct over his playing career in Germany

Ghana international winger Nana Ampomah has been sacked by Bundesliga 2 side Fortuna Düsseldorf, according to reports from the German media.

The 27-year-old was earlier on relegated to the reserve side by the Düsseldorf-based club having arrived late at training ahead of the restart of the 2022/2023 football season.

According to report from German tabloid Bild, Nana Ampomah has had his current deal terminated by the Merkur Spiel-Arena outfit, with severance package left to be settled between both parties.

The former Waasland-Beveren man has had a torrid time in Germany since making his €2.8m move to the 'Fortunen' during the 2019 summer transfer window.

His current deal with Fortuna Düsseldorf is suppose to expire in this coming June, but has now been cut-short by the Bundesliga lower-tier outfit in the ongoing campaign.

Before he was released, he had an unsuccessful loan spell with Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Royal Antwerp FC during the 2020/2021 football season.

The Tema-born winger has been capped 4 times by Ghana at the men's senior national team, the Black Stars.
