The Black Stars shot-stopper has signed a new contract to keep him at the Soweto heavyweights until the summer of 2025.

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori has extended his contract with South Africa Premier League Soccer outfit Orlando Pirates after a fruitful negotiations.

The 29-year-old agreed to enjoy playing time at the Black and White lads after signing a new two-year contract with an improved annual salary.

He signed a two-year deal with the second year being an optional year amid a flurry of signed deals by the Soweto giant.

Ofori endured a very frustrating 2022-2023 season as he featured in just 13 games in all competitions while battling a serious knee injury despite winning the MTN 8 title.

Orlando Pirates finished second in the 2022/23 South Africa Premier League Soccer season with 54 points; Mamelodi Sundowns won the title after amassing 70 points.

Aside missing out on several games and virtually being on the way out, Ofori’s injury issues forced him to miss out on a call up to Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
