Ghanaian international Kwadwo Opoku was sent off in Los Angeles FC home defeat to Houston Dynamo in the Major League Soccer on Thursday evening.
Houston Dynamo inflicted a 1-0 home defeat on Los Angeles FC at the BMO Stadium courtesy a 23rd minute strike from Brazilian centre-back Micael dos Santos Silva.
The former Attram De Visser academy player did not start the game he came on in the 46th minute to replace Denil Maldonaldo.
In the 79th minute, the match took a turn for the worse for Los Angeles Football Club as Kwadwo Opoku was shown a red card for a foul, leaving his team to finish the game with ten players.
Opoku, who has made 15 appearances in the MLS this season, scoring twice and providing one assist, has been attracting attention from several clubs.
The 21-year-old forward has been linked with a potential move to Nice, VfB Stuttgart, Bordeaux, Rangers, and Celtic, indicating the growing interest in his talents.
Following his explosive performance in the MLS, Ibrahim Tanko has included the 21-year-old in the Black Meteors provisional squad list for the upcoming Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Morocco later this month.
