Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin sustained injury in Rayo Vallecano home draw with FC Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday afternoon.

Mumin, who was handed starting berth, limped off in the 75th minute of the game.

A 82nd minute own goal scored by Florian Lejeune rescued FC Barcelona from a defeat at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas Stadium after the home side had taken the lead through Unai Lopez in the first half.

Mumin was outstanding at the back line of Rayo Vallecano before the unfortunate incident which forced him out of the match in the 75th minute of the game.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate's progression at Rayo Vallecano has been hampered by series of injuries. He will undergo a scan tomorrow to know the extent of the injury.

The 25-year-old has scored one goal in 6 La Liga appearances for Rayo Vallecano this season so far 

Mumin has received several call-ups to the Black Stars but he is yet to made a competitive debut for the four-time African champions.
