Turkish Superlig side Galatasaray S.K are closing in on German-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Kohn from Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96.
Reports from the German press have indicated that the former Bayern Munich II man is heading to lstanbul to undertake his mandatory medical assessments and could pen the deal this coming Friday if he passes the health screening.
Sky has claimed that a transfer fee of €3.7m plus a 10% onward transfer benefit has now been agreed between both parties after an initial €3.5m was rejected by the German side at the early stage of the negotiations.
His deal with Hannover 96 was due to expire on June 30, 2025 and he is now heading for the exit following his reluctance to honour the remaining contractual obligations at the Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena.
Kohn remains eligible to switch allegiance and represent Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Germany U19 national youth team.
