The 32-year-old defender is eyeing for a new admirer with fresh terms yet to be struck with his current employers as his deal is set to expire next month
Ghanaian centre-back Joseph Boffoe says he's ready for a new adventure elsewhere as his contract with Swedish Allsvenskan side Halmstads BK is due to run out on December 31, 2024.
The former Eintracht Braunschweig guardsman said he has held talks over contract extension with the Halmstad-based club but nothing serious has come out of it yet as he awaits his fate with his side after the end of the 2024/2025 Swedish top-flight campaign.
Baffoe, who has hinted at spending his holiday trips in Ghana, has told Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen of his readiness to seek for a new challenge elsewhere come next term: '' I can't answer that now. There are no discussions, we have had some conversation but no serious discussions. So I go on leave and see what happens in the market. I have been in the club for ix years (since 2020) now and enjoy myself. But at the same time, I am open to new adventures. I am absolutely open to a new move abroad.''
He added on their campaign outings in the just concluded elite division contest; ''A very long season for us, considering the tough results. But we always believed in ourselves and we showed that in the end. We did what we agreed on at the beginning of the season, Halmstads BK will play Allsvenskan in 2025.''
He figured in 24 league games, scoring once for Halmstads BK in the Allsvenskan 2024 football season.
