Ghanaian forward Frank Acheampong was on target over the weekend as Henan FC produced a dominant performance to secure a convincing 4-0 victory over Dalian Yingbo in the Chinese Super League.
The former Black Stars winger started the match and lasted the full 90 minutes, capping off his display with a goal in front of the home fans at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium.
Henan made their intentions clear from the onset, breaking the deadlock after just nine minutes through Felippe Cardoso. Lucas Maia then struck twice in quick succession, netting in the 31st and 41st minutes to extend the lead. Acheampong added his name to the scoresheet before the half-hour mark, putting the result beyond doubt before halftime.
The 31-year-old attacker has been in fine form this season, contributing 11 goals and 3 assists in 22 league appearances for Henan. His latest strike underlines his importance to the side as they continue their push in the top flight.
