The forward will be spending time on the sidelines for a month after picking up an injury during their last outings in the German second-tier campaign 

Ghanaian striker Ragnar Ache has been ruled out with a calf injury and is expected to be back next year, according to his club FC Kaiserslautern.

The 26-year-old suffered the injury setback during their 3-0 trouncing of FC Schalke 04 in the 2. Bundesliga - a contest he opened the first goal for his side on the 12th minute having lasted for 44th minute of the game on Friday.

A club's statement over the injury complication of the former SpVgg Greuther Fürth frontman read: ''1. FC Kaiserslautern will probably not be able to rely on the services of Ragnar Ache until the end of the year: The striker sustained a calf injury in the league match against FC Schalke 04.'

''In the Red Devils' 3-0 away win, in which Ragnar Ache scored the 1-0 for FCK, the striker was injured shortly before half-time: Ache fell to the ground near the halfway line without any external influence and had to leave the field after a short treatment. Medical examinations on the evening of the game and the following day revealed a calf injury, which means that Ache will probably miss the Red Devils' remaining three games in the calendar year 2024.''

Ache has so far netted 9 and assisted 1 in 13 league games for FC Kaiserslautern in this current 2. Bundesliga 2024/25 campaign.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, Ache qualified e to switch allegiance and represent Ghana at the international level despite featuring for the Germany U21 national youth team.
