Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo has etched his name in the annals of Swedish football history after being selected in Sofascore's Swedish Allsvenskan team of the week for match week 13. 

The 24-year-old midfielder has been on a roll this season, and his exceptional display in Elfsborg's 3-0 win against Brommapojkarna at the Borås Arena has earned him this prestigious recognition.

Baidoo's standout performance saw him score a goal and provide an assist, playing a crucial role in Elfsborg's dominant victory. The midfielder started the game and played for 85 minutes, displaying his skills and vision on the pitch. 

His goal came in the 82nd minute, a right-footed shot from outside the box to the bottom right corner, assisted by Simon Hedlund.

Before the game, the head-to-head record between the two teams stood at seven wins for Elfsborg, three wins for Brommapojkarna, and two draws. 

Baidoo's goal was part of a three-goal haul for Elfsborg, with Simon Hedlund scoring the opening goal in the 30th minute and Eggert Gudmundsson adding the third goal in the 87th minute.

Baidoo's impressive form has seen him become a key player for Elfsborg in the 2024 Swedish Allsvenskan, having played 13 games, scored five goals, and provided four assists so far.
