The newly-promoted Liga Portugal 2 side have secured the signature of the Ghanaian international on a free transfer.

Portuguese second-tier outfit UD Leiria have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfelder Joseph Amoah after a fruitful negotiations.
 
The 29-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa after ending his nine-year stay at Portuguese top-tier club Vitoria Guimaraes.
 
The former WAFA star suffered a hip and muscle injury in 2020/21 season, which kept him out of action the second half of last season.
 
Amoah, who was promoted to the senior side of Vitoria Guimaraes in 2018 from the club's reserve side, made only 29 appearances for the first team and scored two goals.
 
He was released by Vitoria Guimaraes upon the expiration of his contract at the club in July 2023.
 
Amoah is yet to earn a call-up to represent Ghana at any level.
