German-born Ghanaian attacker Richmond Tachie scored and provided an assist in FC Kaiserslautern win over FC Nuremberg in the German DFB Pokal on Tuesday evening.

FC Kaiserslautern advanced to the last eight of the competition with a 2-0 victory over Nuremberg at the Fritz Walter Stadion.

Tachie opened the scoring for the home side with fine strike in the 75th minute after the first half of the game had ended in a scoreless draw.

Three minutes later, the 24-year-old set up Ragnar Ache to extend their lead to aid them progress to the next round of the DFB Pokal.

Ragnar Ache, who was introduced into the game in the 64th minute, also has Ghanaian heritage and eligible to play for the West African nation.

Tachie has now scored four goals and provided five assists in 16 appearances for FC Kaiserslautern across all competitions this season so far.
