Highly-rated Ghanaian teenager Mike Aidoo has made his debut for Italian giants Inter Milan. The 19-year-old featured in a preseason friendly against Spanish side Las Palmas, where Inter Milan secured a 3-0 victory.
Aidoo entered the match as a substitute, coming on in the 82nd minute to replace defender Yann Aurel Bisseck. His appearance marked a significant milestone in his career, as he stepped onto the field alongside some of football’s top talents.
Reflecting on his debut, Aidoo shared his excitement: "It was a very unique moment, something you always dream about, and thanks to God I had the opportunity to get on the field and share it with big players."
He also spoke highly of Inter Milan’s manager, Simone Inzaghi. "Simone Inzaghi is a really good coach. He just motivates you to do well and he just says to play how you do and be concentrated all the time," Aidoo said. He appreciated the support from Inzaghi, noting, "He congratulated us boys that came in and he was just happy for all the team and the team performance."
Aidoo had been training with Inter Milan’s first team last season while playing in the Italian Primavera 1 youth league. His debut with the senior team is seen as a promising step in his development and a sign of his potential to make a significant impact at the club.
