English Championship side Hull City have made a bold move to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Brandon Thomas-Asante, submitting a £2.5million bid for the Ghana international, according to sources.

The 25-year-old has been a key player for the Baggies since joining from Salford in 2022, finishing as top scorer in his first two seasons at the club.

Thomas-Asante's impressive form has caught the attention of Hull City, who are looking to bolster their attacking options following the departure of star winger Jaden Philogene.

The striker has notched 18 goals in 72 Championship appearances since joining West Brom, and has also impressed with 12 goals and two assists in 43 appearances across all competitions last season.

The Ghana international is out of contract at The Hawthorns in less than 12 months, and Hull City's bid could be an attractive offer for West Brom, who may be willing to cash in on the striker rather than risk losing him for free next summer.

Thomas-Asante will be eager to prove himself at a new club and make an impact for Hull City, who will start the new season at home against Bristol City on August 10.
