The forward of Ghanaian parentage has sealed his move to the relegated Austrian top-tier side ahead of the new football campaign
Austrian 2.Liga outfit SKU Amstetten have announced the signing of Ghanaian striker Charles-Jesaja Herrmann.
The 24-year-old former VfL Wolfsburg U17 star is linking up with the Ertl-Glas-Stadion outfit from German side SV Waldhof Mannheim this summer.
An official club's statement over his signing read; "Charles-Jesaja Herrmann from SV Waldhof Mannheim to SKU Ertl Glas Amstetten"
"Shortly before the start of the league, SKU Ertl Glas Amstetten is once again active on the transfer market and signs the 24-year-old center forward Charles-Jesaja Herrmann. The 1.90m tall German with Ghanaian roots is moving from the Rhine to the Ybbs and will strengthen our attack. Last season, our new acquisition played 21 games in the 3rd division and scored three goals. Charles-Jesaja began his career at Hannover 96, moving to VfL Wolfsburg at the age of 14, where he went through all the teams from the youth team to the U19. On his way to becoming a professional, Herrman was called up 26 times to the German junior national team (U15 - U19).
"From the second team of VfL Wolfsburg, he went to KV Kortrijk in Belgium in the summer of 2021. He has thirteen games in the top division for the Belgian first division club. After a season with NAC Breda in the Dutch second division, he joined Mannheim in the summer of 2023. "

Herrmann, whose father is former Ghana international midfielder Charles Kwablan Akonnor, remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
