Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is steadily rediscovering his form after a long injury absence, offering renewed hope for both club and country.

The German-born midfielder endured nearly three years on the sidelines due to a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury, along with multiple setbacks that stalled his progress. The extended layoff ruled him out of key competitions, including the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while also limiting his involvement at SC Freiburg.

Now back in action with Freiburg II, Kyereh is beginning to make an immediate impact. He first announced his return with an assist in a convincing 4-1 victory over Trier in the Regionalliga Südwest.

He followed that up with a match-winning moment against Kassel on April 18, producing a stunning 89th-minute volley to seal victory for his side.

The decisive strike means Kyereh has recorded a goal and an assist in just two appearances since his return, signaling a strong comeback.

Having recently rejoined his Black Stars teammates in March, the 30-year-old’s resurgence comes at a crucial time, as he looks to rebuild momentum and push for a place in Ghana’s squad ahead of upcoming international assignments.
