Ghanaian teenage sensation Ziyad Salifu is undergoing trials at Allsvenskan side IFK Norrköping ahead of the upcoming football season.
The 18-year-old starlet, currently owned by Ghanaian Academy outfit Diamond Seed Sporting Club, has so far impressed in his trials and could land himself a deal with the Nya Parken Stadium campaigners for the 2025 season in the Swedish top-flight.
Salifu expressed his confidence over striking a deal with IFK come at the end of his assessment, telling Swedish newspaper Norrköpings Tidningar: ''Of course (I want to play here), one hundred percent. It's a dream,'' the budding winger affirmed when asked about his quest to play for the top division side. He added: ''Hopefully soon. I'm very proud of the team and hope to be a part of it.''
Sporting director Magni Fannberg commented on the Ghanaian starlet assessment sessions: ''No. the idea is that he will be here over time. We are in no immediate hurry, says Fannberg to the newspaper. He continued: ''We'll take the time we need to evaluate it. I understand that he wants it and we want it too, but we'll see.''
Sailfu played in IFK Norrköping's 1-0 win against IFK Värnamo on Saturday's friendly encounter in Nya Parken.
