Young Ghanaian footballer Jahmael Ampofo is hopeful to securing a spot in the AZ Alkmaar first team.
The youngster aimes to emulate his fellow countryman, Jayden Addai who has made a name for himself at the club.
The 15-year-old signed his first professional contract with AZ Alkmaar.
He penned a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2027.
Reflecting on his goals for the upcoming season, Ampofo shared his ambitions: “I want to be important for my team every game. Furthermore, I want to end up at AZ1 as soon as possible. The path that Jayden Addai has taken is a good example of a path that I would also like to take.”
Ampofo will train with the AZ Under-16 team team in the upcoming season, where he is expected to further his development and make significant strides within the club.
