The Ghanaian teenage stopper is set to reunite with the German second-tier side on a loan deal until the end of the ongoing football season 


German-born Ghanaian centre-back Joshua Quarshie is nearing a transfer move to Bundesliga 2 side Fortuna Dusseldorf from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on a loan basis in this January transfer window.

Having once spend some time with them in the youth ranks, the 19-year-old is now set for a reunion with the Merkur Spiel-Arena outfit depending on the outcome of medical assessments in the coming days.

Fortuna Dusseldorf sporting director Klaus Allofs has confirmed his side have already agreed terms with his mother club and will soon come for his medicals ahead of his loan stint this term.

" We ( Fortuna Dusseldorf) agree with Hoffenheim and he ( Joshua Quarshie) will come for the medical check tomorrow," Klaus Allofs is quoted as saying by Sky in Germany.

Quarshie still remains eligible to switch allegiance and represent Ghana at international level despite playing for the Germany U18, U19 & U20 national youth teams.
