Black Stars midfielder, Elisha Owusu have expressed his eagerness and desperation to play in the 2026 World Cup.

 

The Auxerre player believes it is every footballers highest aspiration to play in the global showpiece, highlighting it as a significant goal for their careers. 

 

"I train every day and work hard to try and be in the squad for the tournament next year," Owusu said, highlighting his dedication and passion for the game.

The 27-year-old, who missed Ghana's last two 2026 World Cup successful series qualifying games due to injuries.

 

Owusu, who is also yet to feature at the FIFA World Cup, hopes to help Ghana - who currently tops Group I of the qualifiers avoid missing out on the tournament.
