Ghana's young sensation, Kudus Mohammed was adjudged Sports Man of the Year at the 2023 Exclusive Men of the Year Africa Awards held over the weekend. 

This is the eighth edition of the EMY Africa Awards and is a Father’s Day-related event to honour outstanding achievements in music, business, media, technology, sports, and other competitive categories.

The mercurial playmaker has been outstanding since coming into the limelight and had an impressive campaign with Ajax last season and also with the Black Stars where he netted two goals at the 2022 FIFA World Cup- which was his first ever appearance.

He joined English Premier League side West Ham United in the last summer transfer window and has netted two goals and assisted one in three matches in all competitions so far.

Other Ghanaians that were celebrated and awarded at the event were Berla Mundi, Bill Asamoah, Black Sherif and Ghana's all-time top goal scorer Asamoah Gyan- who also won the Continental Icon award.

Kudus, 23, is currently with the Black Stars in Tennessee preparing for the game against the USA this Wednesday, October 18, at the Geodis Park.
