The Turkish top division side are tracking the talented winger of Ghanaian descent in an effort to land him ahead of the closure of the winter transfer window in Turkey

Turkish Super Lig side Göztepe have reportedly made an approach for the services of Ghanaian winger Ansgar Knauff, reports from the Turkish media have indicated.

The 23-year-old, currently on the books of German top-flight outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, is now a wanted man at the Gürsel Aksel Stadium as they push to secure his signature before the winter transfer window in Turkey is shut down on February 11.

Turkish Newspaper Yeni Asır has learned that the transfer deal of the former Borussia Dortmund widesman is being worked out by the London-based sports investment firm SPORT REPUBLIC - a majority shareholder of both Southampton and Göztepe FC.

The report added that the potential Black star would first be integrated into the English Premier League side and loaned him to the Turkish outfit if they finally land him this winter.

lt remains to be seen if his current employers would entertain any offer for their prized asset given his glittering form so far this season.

He has so far netted 3 goals and bagged 5 assists in 31 games across all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt in this ongoing 2024-25 football campaign.

Given his Ghanaian root, the Göttingen-born winger still remains fit to switch allegiance and play for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Germany U19, U20 and U21 national youth teams.
