Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has singled out Kai Havertz as the most underrated player at the club, praising the German international’s tireless work and crucial impact on the team.

In an interview with Footy Culture, Partey lauded Havertz for his often-overlooked contributions on the pitch.
"Kai Havertz. I think he works so hard and for people, it’s hard to see," the Ghanaian said when asked which Arsenal player he believes is most underrated.

Havertz made the switch to Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer of 2023 in a deal reportedly worth £65 million. The move was initially met with skepticism from some supporters, but manager Mikel Arteta and then-sporting director Edu Gaspar stood by their decision to sign the versatile German.

After a sluggish start at the Emirates, Havertz found his rhythm in early 2024 and grew into a pivotal figure for the Gunners. Operating across midfield and attack, his link-up play, creativity, and defensive commitment proved vital to Arsenal’s system.

However, a recent injury sidelined Havertz during a critical period for the club, coinciding with a downturn in form. Arsenal’s hopes for silverware were dashed this week following their Champions League exit at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite the disappointing end to the season, Partey’s praise highlights the growing recognition of Havertz’s importance within the Arsenal squad.
