Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo has described French superstar Kylian Mbappe as one of the most humble players he has ever met on the pitch.

The Real Oviedo midfielder came up against the World Cup winner earlier this season when his side faced Real Madrid in La Liga, a match that ended in defeat for Oviedo. Despite the loss, Sibo said the experience was unforgettable — especially as he managed to exchange shirts with Mbappe after the game.

Speaking to Joy Sports, Sibo praised Mbappe’s character, highlighting the Paris-born forward’s calm demeanor and respect for opponents.

“He’s a very humble guy — quiet, focused, and on a different level of humility,” Sibo said. “Even if you foul him during the game, he just looks at you and moves on. When you speak to him, he responds politely. He speaks multiple languages and remains very respectful.”

Sibo also lauded Mbappe’s qualities as a player, describing him as “fast, intelligent, and a top finisher.” He drew a comparison between Mbappe and his Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr., noting that while both are exceptional talents, their personalities differ on the pitch.

“Vinicius is also quick and difficult to mark, but their attitudes are different,” Sibo observed.

Although Sibo has not featured in Real Oviedo’s last three league fixtures, the Ghanaian midfielder remains optimistic about earning his way back into the starting lineup as the season continues.
