Desire FC President Sammy Appiah has expressed his excitement after visiting Italian side Hellas Verona as part of the Ghanaian academy’s collaboration with the club.
Appiah, who was part of the Desire FC delegation that visited Verona, revealed his long-standing interest in Italian football and said he has followed Hellas Verona over the years.
“I am a great fan of Italian football and I have followed Verona over the years,” Appiah said.
The Desire FC president also highlighted the connection between Ghana and the Italian city, pointing to the number of Ghanaian players who have featured there, including Sulemana.
“Several Ghanaian players have played in this city, such as Sulemana, for example. It is a great emotion for me to be here,” he added.
Sammy Appiah said the experience was particularly special for him and reaffirmed his affection for the Italian club as Desire FC begins its collaboration with Hellas Verona’s HV Academy project.
