Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed his delight after producing a spectacular long-range strike in Leicester City’s 3–1 home victory over Ipswich Town in the English Championship on Saturday.

The Black Stars attacker stole the spotlight at the King Power Stadium, unleashing an audacious 65-yard effort that doubled Leicester’s lead and proved to be the defining moment of the match.

Issahaku’s wonder goal overshadowed an earlier 30-yard opener from Bobby De Cordova-Reid, who continued his impressive scoring form. Jordan Ayew added Leicester’s third shortly after the restart, while Jens Cajuste netted a late consolation for Ipswich.

Speaking after the game, the former Sporting CP winger revealed his determination to contribute even more as Leicester push for promotion.

“Amazing, I feel so good about scoring that goal,” Issahaku told Leicester TV. “I’ve been trying to get it, and I was so happy it went in. I just feel happy. I hope for more goals and more wins so that we can get to where we want to be.”

The victory lifts Leicester City to eighth place, just three points off the Championship play-off positions, while further underlining Issahaku’s growing influence within the squad.

The Ghana international has now recorded 10 goal contributions this season, scoring four goals and providing six assists as he continues to shine in Leicester’s promotion chase.
