In-form Ibrahim Sadiq has dedicated his two goals to his teammates in their 1-2 away win at PEC Zwolle at the MAC3 Park in the Dutch Eredivise last Friday night having stated they helped him deliver that performance.

The ex-Right to Dream Academy graduate, lasted 86 minutes in the match-week six fixture and was really unplayable right from onset.

Sadiq, opened the scoring for AZ Alkmaar just six minutes into the game when he brilliantly slotted a pass from Ruben van Bommel into the back of the home side's net.

The 24-year-old kept tormenting the backline of the hosts and doubled the lead for AZ Alkmaar with a fine strike in the 51st minute of the game.

Speaking in a post-match interview, the former Ghana youth international was so thankful to his teammates for how helpful they have been to him even when he was out of form and feels they are the reason he is getting better this time.

"I will always say 'we' because without my teammates, it wouldn't happen."

“I think I will always say 'we,' because they also helped me a lot when I was not on form, and they always tried to encourage me."

“I think it's really important to have some of the guys with you and everyone around. So, I believe I will say "we," and my teammates helped me a lot to have moments like this.”

Ibrahim Sadiq has now scored four goals and provided three assists in six league appearances for AZ Alkmaar in the ongoing season's campaign.
