Ghanaian forward Kelvin Boateng delivered a stellar performance for First Vienna FC, netting a hat-trick in their 3-1 win against SK Rapid Vienna Amateurs in the Austrian 2. Liga on Friday evening.
The 24-year-old wasted no time putting his team in front, scoring in the very first minute after a well-timed assist from Christoph Monschein. Boateng quickly followed up with a second goal just minutes later, this time set up by defender Jurgen Bauer.
With five minutes remaining in the first half, Boateng completed his hat-trick, converting a pass from David Ungar to give First Vienna a commanding 3-0 lead before the break.
Although Rapid Vienna pulled one back in the 85th minute through defender Dominic Vincze, after Tobias Hedl had missed a penalty earlier in the match, Boateng’s first-half heroics ensured a comfortable win for the home side at the Hohe Warte Stadium.
This latest performance brings Boateng’s goal tally to four in six appearances in the 2024-25 Austrian second-tier league, solidifying his reputation as a key player for First Vienna.
