Former Ghana youth international Ibrahim Sadiq continued his blistering performance in the Dutch Eredivisie with a brace to ensure AZ Alkmaar a sweet away win over PEC Zwolle on Friday evening.
The ex-Right to Dream Academy graduate, who lasted 86 minutes in the match-week six fixture, propelled the Red and White lads to a 2-1 victory over PEC Zwolle at the MAC3PARK Stadion.
Sadiq opened the scoring for AZ Alkmaar just six minutes into the game when he brilliantly slotted a pass from Ruben van Bommel into the back of the home side's net.
The 24-year-old kept tormenting the backline of the hosts and doubled the lead for AZ Alkmaar with a fine strike in the 51st minute of the game.
A 66th-minute goal from Dylan Vente wasn't enough to secure PEC Zwolle a point at home, as it ended in a 2-1 win for AZ Alkmaar.
Following the victory, AZ Alkmaar have moved to the top spot with 16 points after six league matches.
Sadiq has scored four goals and provided three assists in six league appearances for AZ Alkmaar in the ongoing season's campaign.
