Ghanaian international Ibrahim Osman is determined to help Feyenoord achieve significant success in both the Eredivisie and European competitions during the 2024/25 season.
The 19-year-old winger, who recently signed a five-year deal with Brighton & Hove Albion from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, has joined Feyenoord on loan for the season. Osman, who was part of Brighton’s pre-season squad and made a strong impression, is now set to gain valuable experience in the Dutch league.
Speaking about his move, Osman expressed his eagerness to contribute to Feyenoord's ambitions. "At Feyenoord, young players get the chance to develop. For my development, it is good to play here and improve aspects of my game. I want to use my qualities to help the team achieve great things in the Eredivisie and in Europe," he said.
Osman is expected to play a pivotal role for Feyenoord, especially as they aim to build on last season’s second-place finish in the Eredivisie. The Dutch giants started their season with a 1-1 draw against Willem II and will be competing in the Champions League this season, providing Osman with a platform to showcase his talents on a larger stage.
The young winger had a standout season in Denmark, scoring ten goals and providing eight assists in 44 appearances. His loan move to Feyenoord is seen as a strategic step in his development, similar to the pathways of fellow Brighton players Kaoru Mitoma and Simon Adingra, who also benefited from loan spells before breaking into the first team.
Having already made his debut for the Black Stars, Osman is also focused on solidifying his place in the Ghana national team through his performances at Feyenoord.
