Ghanaian young winger Ibrahim Osman commenced his loan spell at AJ Auxerre with an assist to propel them to a 1-0 win over Lorient in the French Ligue 1 opener on Sunday evening.
AJ Auxerre opened their 2025–26 season's campaign with a narrow victory over Lorient at the Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps.
After a lack of goals in the first half, Osman set up Malian international Lassine Sinayoko to register the only goal to hand the Blue and Whites lads all three maximum points at home.
The 20-year-old, who arrived at Auxerre on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion, was handed a starting berth in the Ligue 1 opening game, and he lasted for 82 minutes.

His compatriots Elisha Owusu and Gideon Mensah also featured in the fixture for the home side, while Nathaniel Adjei missed the game for Lorient due to injury.
Osman joined Auxerre on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion after spending last season with Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie.
