Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Sadiq opened his season's goal-scoring account for AZ Alkmaar in their away draw with FC Volendam in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday evening.

AZ Alkmaar managed to secure a 2-2 stalemate at FC Volendam to remain unbeaten in the 2025-26 season's campaign.

Sadiq registered his name on the score sheet in the 16th minute to level the score for AZ Alkmaar after Aurelio Oehlers had fired the host into the lead in the 7th minute of the game.

In the 54th minute, Troy Parrott gave the visitors a 2-1 lead with a fine strike, but it lasted for only nine minutes when Xavier Mbuyamba brilliantly found the back of the net to end the fixture in a two-all draw.

The former FC Nordsjaelland attacker lasted for 58 minutes before he was replaced by Zico Buurmeester, while Dutch-born Ghanaian goalkeeper Raymond Jayden Owusu-Oduro lasted for the full duration for AZ Alkmaar.

Sadiq managed to score seven goals and provided four assists in 21 Eredivisie matches for AZ Alkmaar last season, and he is expected to hit double numbers in similar fashion this term.
