The 20-year-old defender is set to be moved on in this summer transfer market by the Swedish top division club following an uninspiring performances so far this season

Allsvenskan side IFK Gothenburg are set to release Ghanaian centre-back Rockson Yeboah after failing to live up to his expectations in the top-flight.

The Young African Promises FC product, who joined the Gothenburg-based club on a three-year contract in August 2024, has failed to make any meaningful impact at his side and he is set to be shown the exit doors this summer.

Sporting director Hannes Stiller has shared light on the future of the former AEK Anthens man as they bid to sever ties with him in the next transfer window, telling GP: ''It's problematic to be signed and not get to play, it's going to be difficult. It's not really good for anyone and we have to review his situation, especially for his own sake. I understand that it's not that fun to be here and not get to play in the A-team for a year. We'll review his situation and we'll see where it ends up.''

Yeboah, who once declared himself as the best outfield player in the Swedish elite division contest, is yet to earn a game time in this ongoing 2025-26 campaign.

He's yet to earn his national cap with Ghana at any international level.
