Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu is brimming with excitement about the prospects of his new journey after completing a transfer to French Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais.
The versatile 23-year-old made the move from Clermont Foot, a fellow Ligue 1 side, in a deal valued at approximately €11 million.
Having successfully undergone mandatory medical checks after his return from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where his playing time was limited, Seidu committed to a four-year contract that will run until 2028.
“Stade Rennais is a great club and it's a great privilege for me. I had a great time at Clermont, they gave me everything and welcomed me like a member of the family. I became a man there, and the adventure continues at Rennes, and I'm very happy about that," shared Seidu.
“I'm a player who doesn't like to lose, I'm a fighter, I give everything for my colleagues, and I'm always looking to progress.
“I'm very close to Kamaldeen Sulemana, and I get on very well with Christopher Wooh. The rest of the players I've met on Ligue 1 pitches, and I'm sure things will go well in the dressing room.”
