Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has capped off a brilliant start to the season by clinching a double award at AFC Bournemouth, securing both the Player of the Month and Goal of the Month honours for August.

The 25-year-old, who has been in sensational form for the Cherries, was voted Goal of the Month winner by Bournemouth fans for his outstanding solo effort against Liverpool. In that memorable moment, Semenyo picked up the ball deep in his own half, surged past several Liverpool midfielders, and fired a clinical strike beyond goalkeeper Alisson.

Although the goal was also shortlisted for the Premier League Goal of the Month, Semenyo narrowly missed out to Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai.

Semenyo has been a standout performer in the opening weeks of the campaign, recording three goals and two assists in four Premier League matches. His consistency has earned him two Team of the Week selections, positioning him as an early candidate for the Team of the Season.

The Ghanaian international, who also scored a brace against Liverpool on the opening weekend, will now shift his focus to Bournemouth’s upcoming Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Sunday.
