Belgian-born Ghanaian young attacker Jesse Bisiwu scored a brace in FC Barcelona's 5-2 preseason friendly win over FC Basel at St. Jakob Park on Sunday evening.
Bisiwu, who recently joined the Spanish giants from Club Brugge, came off the bench and made an immediate impact as Barcelona produced a strong attacking display.
Karim Adeyemi opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 34th minute before Hamza Abdelkarim doubled their advantage four minutes after the restart.
Lamine Yamal added Barcelona’s third in the 81st minute before Bisiwu took centre stage with two late goals.
The youngster found the back of the net in the 89th minute before completing his brace two minutes later to cap an impressive outing.
Basel scored twice through Jean Doucoure and Kazeem Olaigbe, but the Swiss side could not prevent Barcelona from securing a comfortable victory.
Jesse Bisiwu is expected to feature mainly for Barca Atletic next season while occasionally earning invitations to the senior team as he continues his development at the Catalan club.
