Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew etched his name into Premier League history on Saturday afternoon by scoring a penalty for Leicester City in their match against Chelsea.
The goal, which marked Ayew's 40th in the Premier League, solidified his status as the highest-scoring Ghanaian player in the league's history.
The Black Stars forward, who joined Leicester City from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2023, has been in excellent form this season, netting three goals in his first 11 Premier League appearances for his new club.
Jordan Ayew’s Premier League adventure began in 2015 when he joined Aston Villa from French side Lorient. After two seasons at Villa Park, Ayew moved to Swansea City, where he made a significant impact. In 2018, he joined Crystal Palace on loan, and his standout performances earned him a permanent contract with the Eagles the following season.
Over the next six years, Ayew became a pivotal figure at Selhurst Park before making the move to Leicester City in the summer of 2023.
