LA Galaxy attacker Joseph Paintsil has confirmed his unavailability to represent the senior national team of Ghana in this month's international friendlies due to inability to secure travel documentations.

Painstil, who received an invitation to play for the Black Stars in the friendly games against Nigeria and Uganda later this month, has pulled out of the matches following a failure to secure travel documents.

He recently sealed a four-year move worth $9 million from Belgian giants KRC Genk to Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy.

Painstil took to his official Facebook account to explain reasons behind his exclusion from the Black Stars in the two games.

Ghana is scheduled to play the Super Eagles of Nigeria on March 22 and Uganda on March 26 at the Stade Grade Marrakech in Morocco.

Below is Joseph Paintsil's statement

Unable to Join the Ghana Squad

As a result of my very recent move to a new club in the United States, there are some further immigration documentation procedures I have to go through, which is why I am unable to travel outside the United States until the process is completed.

For this reason, I am unable join the squad for the upcoming friendly games.

I have duly communicated the reasons for my absence from the national team to management.

I wish the new head coach Otto Addo, my colleagues and the entire team the best in this upcoming hurdle.

Ghana holds a special place in my heart, and I am always ready to defend and represent the country.
