Ghana international Joseph Paintsil produced a brilliant all-round performance as LA Galaxy battled from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against FC Dallas in Major League Soccer on Saturday night.

The Black Stars winger played a decisive role in both goals for the visitors, registering his first goal and assist of the 2026 MLS season in a strong return to the starting XI.

At Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, LA Galaxy endured a difficult start as FC Dallas striker Petar Musa struck twice in the 7th and 38th minutes to give the hosts a commanding 2-0 lead.

However, Galaxy responded just before halftime. Paintsil provided the assist in the 43rd minute, setting up Lucas Sanabria, who calmly reduced the deficit with a composed finish.

Moments later, the 26-year-old forward completed the turnaround in momentum. He latched onto a well-weighted through ball from Gabriel Pec and calmly slotted home in stoppage time of the first half to restore parity at 2-2.

Paintsil’s influence ensured LA Galaxy extended their remarkable scoring run to 17 consecutive MLS matches—the longest active streak in the league.

The former KRC Genk winger was making his first start after recovering from injury, having missed seven matches since being sidelined in early March.

On the other side, Ghanaian defender Lalas Abubakar remained an unused substitute for FC Dallas.

The result leaves LA Galaxy on nine points from eight matches, while FC Dallas move to 13 points from six games.
