Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil has praised his partnership with new Los Angeles Galaxy teammate Riqui Puig, describing it as a fantastic connection.

Since joining Major League Soccer during the winter transfer window, Paintsil and Puig have only played together for three games. Despite the brief period, the former Genk star has already made a notable impact, contributing with a goal and an assist in his initial appearances for LA Galaxy, including a stunning goal against San Jose Earthquakes.

On his debut against Inter Miami, Paintsil won a penalty, which unfortunately Puig failed to convert. However, the duo's on-field chemistry has been evident, with Paintsil expressing that their connection feels as if they have been playing together for an entire season.

In an interview with the LA Galaxy website, Paintsil stated, "Playing alongside Riqui Puig is a great connection. As you can see, it's like we've played [together] almost like a season before."

With his impressive performances, Paintsil remains a strong contender for selection in the Ghana squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Uganda and Nigeria in Morocco.
