Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has been named in the Major League Soccer Team of Week 28 after an impressive display for LA Galaxy, helping his team secure a 3-2 victory over Portland Timbers.

The 26-year-old was instrumental in the win, assisting former Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig with the opener before setting up fellow Designated Player Gabriel Pec for LA Galaxy's second goal. He then netted the decisive goal on the hour mark to send LA Galaxy to the top of the table in the Western Conference.

Paintsil is joined by four other standout performers in the MLS Team of Week 28, including former Barcelona defender Jordi Alba of Inter Miami, Toronto's Richie Laryea, Charlotte FC's Iuri Tavares, and Philadelphia Union's Daniel Gazdag.

Rounding out the squad are Colorado Rapids' Cole Bassett, Atlanta's Stian Gregersen, Houston's Griffin Dorsey, LAFC's Dennis Bouanga, and goalkeeper Roman Burki.
