The Ghanaian defender has sealed his move to the Cyprus elite division side in this current summer transfer window
Cyprus First Division side Pafos FC have signed Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen in an undisclosed period of contract duration.
The 29-year-old is joining the Paphos-based club on a free transfer after parting ways with lsraeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv this summer.
An official confirmation over his signing read; "Pafos FC announces the signing of Dutch player, Derrick Luckassen. ✍️"
"Derrick Luckassen is 29 years old (03/07/1995) and plays as a defender."
"A youth product of AZ Alkmaar, he broke into the first team in the 2024/2015 season, eventually becoming a key member of the squad with 97 appearances, including many in European competitions."
"Derrick then secured a transfer to PSV Eindhoven and from there he continued his football journey with Hertha BSC, RSC Anderlecht, Kasimpasa, Karagumruk and finally, Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he spent the previous 2 seasons, making 51 appearances in all competitions for the Israeli outfit."

He has vast experience in top-flight contests following stints with Hertha BSC, RCS Anderlecht, Kasimpasa and AZ Alkmaar.
Derrick is the elder brother of Ajax Amsterdam forward Brian Brobbey and he's still qualified to represent Ghana at the international level.
