Black Stars winger, Joseph Paintsil has been named Los Angeles Galaxy top scorer of the 2025 Major League Soccer season in the club’s end of year awards.
Despite a very embarrassing campaign having failed to defend their MLS crown and even missed out on playoffs, the Galaticos still went on to hold their annual awards ceremony.
The 26-year-old in the regular season did a twelve-goal involvements including 10 league goals - which is the highest in the team and earned the club’s top scorer accolade, including a stunning first half hattrick against Sporting Kansas City making him the third player to do so in the club’s history after Alejandro Moreno and Robbie Keane.
Other awardees on the night include Dylan Vanney (Academy Player of the Year), John Nelson (Best Defender), Mauricio Cuevas (Humanitarian Honors) and Uruguayan midfielder Diego Fagúndez won the big prize thus the Player of the Year award.
LA Galaxy had a very abysmal season having finished in 14th place on the Western Conference log with 30 points and missed out on the playoffs.
Joseph Paintsil scored one other goal in the Concacaf Champions League and will now return home for his preseason amd prepare for the new season.
