The pacey winger is set to arrive in Italy on Friday, June 27, 2025 to undergo a mandatory medical examination ahead of an imminent switch to the Bergamo-based club.
Italian Serie A side Atalanta have reached an agreement with Southampton for the signing of Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana in the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, a deal worth €17.5million in five annual instalments, plus €4million in add-ons has been reached by the two clubs. Team performance bonuses and a 15 per cent sell-on clause will also be included.
Sulemana, 23, is cutting his holiday short to travel from Accra, Ghana to Bergamo tomorrow (Friday) to undergo a medical.
Sulemana joined Southampton from Stade Rennais in a deal worth an initial €25 million in February 2023.
His contract with the club had been due to expire at end of the 2027-28 season.
Sulemana made 30 appearances in all competitions during the 2024-25 season's campaign, providing two goals and three assists as Southampton were relegated from the Premier League.
