Enterprising Ghanaian midfielder, Abdul Rashid Abubakar has completed a move to Kazakhstani powerhouse FC Ordabasy. 




The midfield dazzler had attracted previous interest from Moldovan clubs having burst on to the scene in Spartanii Sportul, but the 24-year-old dazzler remained with Spartanii to kick off 2024/25.



Andrei Martin is looking to build this Blue and White side in his image, and he now has the hardworking player for the long haul.



Details of the contract have not been revealed, although the lad joined on a free transfer after leaving Spartanii.



"Rashid Abubakar is a player of "Ordabasy" football club. Ghanaian midfielder has signed a contract with "Ordabasy" football club Next season, we wish Rashid to conquer a new challenge in our club. Welcome home baby Rashid," the club announced in a statement.



The Ghanaian player bemoaned his elation after inking the deal; "Shymkent, I am Abubakar Abdul Rashid and I am very happy to be with Ordabasy club. See you Shymkent."



Abubakar kickstarted his career with Accra Lions prior to a short period in China where he played for Harbin based Heilongjiang Ice City FC. hE afterward transferred to FK Sarajevo in Bosnia before a brief spell at Serbia's FK Loznica, Al Soqour of Libya and Bahla Club of Oman.
