Ghana and West Ham United midfielder, Kudus Mohammed has disclosed their eagerness to win the Carabao Cup after humbling giants Arsenal last night to advance into the quarter final.
The Hammers hit the nail right on the head after displaying a top-tier performance to inflict a resounding 3-1 win over the Gunners in round 16 of the EFL Cup.
Ben White tapping into his own net in just sixteen minutes from kickoff was the game's opener.
Kudus Mohammed controlled a beautiful long pass from Morocco's Nayef Aguerd and nicely plotted into the bottom corner to double the lead on the 50th minute for the hosts.
Before Jarrod Bowen ten minutes on, scored the third and their last with captain Martin Ødegaard pulling one back for the visitors in the dying embers.
Kudus Mohammed has now scored in the Premier League, Europa League and now the EFL Cup since joining the East-Londoners and has already expressed elation and aims at winning the Carabao Cup.
"From the start of the competition, we’ve been dreaming because winning a title is part of it. We don’t know who we’ll get, but we’ll take it one step at a time and game-by-game.
“This is a very good boost for the game coming up at the weekend.”
West Ham United will face another tougher and stiffer opposition in Liverpool in the quarter final on December 12, 2023.
