Cercle Brugge midfielder Lawrence Agyekum registered his first-ever goal for the senior national team of Ghana in a resounding victory over Trinidad and Tobago in the third-place match of the 2025 Unity Cup.

The Black Stars affirmed their third-place win with an emphatic 4-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday afternoon at the Gtech Community Stadium in London.

Agyekum increased Ghana's tally to four after Jordan Ayew, Razak Simpson, and Mohammed Fuseini had already found the back of the net for the West African nation in the first half of the game.

The 21-year-old is currently rated among the top midfielders in the Black Stars team after making memorable debut for the team in a 5-0 win over Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium in a 2026 World Cup Qualifier.

Earlier this month, Agyekum was acquired by Belgian club Cercle Brugge on a permanent deal from RB Salzburg after a successful season-long loan spell at the club.
