Ex-Liverpool FC star John Barnes believes Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has the potentials to replace Mohamed Salah at the Merseyside-based club.

Salah, who has attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs since last summer, future at Liverpool looks uncertain as he enters into the final year of his contract.

The 32-year-old could be leaving Anfield and the club has been on the market searching for a direct replacement for the Egyptian and Mohammed Kudus, who currently plays for West Ham United has been named as one of the targets of Liverpool.

According to Barnes, the West Ham United top star is dynamic, and direct and plays similarly to Salah.

“Kudus was fantastic. He was sensational for West Ham last season. Even Mohammed Salah says he won’t be here in three years’ time so that could be a role that Kudus takes on," Barnes told BettingExpert

“He’s young, he’s dynamic, he’s direct and he plays in a similar fashion to Mo.”

Kudus made instant impact at West Ham United last season after joining them from Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax.

He managed to score 14 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
