The 19-year-old defender has completed his loan switch to the Swedish third tier outfit ahead of the upcoming football campaign

Swedish Ettan Sodra side BK Olympic have secured the loan services of Ghanaian left-back Banabas Tagoe from Allsvanskan heavyweights Malmo FF, the club have confirmed.

The promising defender is joining the lower division outfit together with his team-mate Marcus Pettersson for much playing time in the third division contest.

"The collaboration with Malmö FF continues and now it is clear that Marcus Pettersson and Banabas Tagoe will be loaned from Malmö FF in 2024. Marcus (born in 2005) is a talented goalkeeper and Banabas (born in 2004) is a fast and talented full-back.

"We are very happy to have brought in these two players on loan for the 2024 season!," an official confirmation over the loan signing of the duo read via the club's Instagram page.

Sporting director Ahmed Chahrour added this right after capturing the budding stars from their feeder club partners: " Marcus is an incredibly talented goalkeeper who will step up and really compete with our other goalkeepers. Marcus stands out with his incredibly good feet and his talk from behind.
Banabas will be a great reinforcement. He is a modern full-back who will be an attraction this year for the crowd and it is clear that he will play at a higher level in the future. Welcome, Marcus & Banabas!"

Tagoe joined Malmo FF on a three -and-a-half-year deal during the 2023 summer transfer window.

He is the son of former Accra Hearts of Oak legend Joe Tagoe.
