Ghana youth international Mathew Anim-Cudjoe has commenced his pre-season training with Dundee United on a good note after an impressive display in a victory over Queen of the South Football Club on Saturday.
Anim-Cudjoe scored in their 2-1 pre-season friendly win over Queen of the South Football Club at the St. Andrews University Park.
The 19-year-old broke the deadlock early in the second half, sweeping home following a fine cut-back by substitute Kai Fotheringham.
He then earned a penalty for the hosts with one of several bursts forward — but Chris Mochrie struck the bar from the spot.
Queens levelled against the run of play through Craig McGuffie before a spectacular strike from Declan Glass secured Dundee United the victory.
Dundee United face St Mirren on Tuesday before the competitive action begins with the Viaplay Cup visit to Spartans next Saturday.
Anim-Cudjoe made 12 appearances last season for Dundee United as they suffered relegation from the Scottish Premier League.
